I took Matt to a GI specialist at Children's Hospital last week. She suspects he has a protein allergy, so she put him on that ridiculously expensive Enfamil to see if he improves over the next two weeks. He improved almost overnight! He immediately stopped throwing up, he's happier, and he has a big appetite. He'll continue to take Zantac twice a day for the reflux, but, if the formula change continues to work, he won't have to go through any tests. She told me that he's probably always had this allergy (he has very dry patches of skin and an itchy scalp and ears), but when he got the flu a few weeks ago it really messed with his system.
